OK I am all recovered and relaxed. Our friends place is fantastic it's a 4 bedroom apartment on the 15 floor and luckily they actually have a view. Their lift is like a private lift in that when they get to their floor it opens at his front door and his is the only apartment that lift services on that floor. They also have their own live in maid, which is a first for us.
We spent our first day in Singapore walking, walking, walking and more walking. This is our 4th time in Singapore and we have never been down to the Arab quarter so we decided to walk there. We have read that you walk down a mall surrounded by Arab shops with Singapore's largest and very beautiful Sultans Mosque. I was lucky enough to get a great photo of the mosque.
Well worth the 2 hour walk trying to find it.
Anyway the day was not a complete loss, I was impressed by a bit of graffiti just around the corner from the mosque.
After that much to Karen's disgust the rest of the day was dedicated to shopping. After the shopping we went back to the apartment and dropped all our gear off and headed to Newtons Circus for tea where I had 2 Tiger prawns, their a foot long each and Karen had BBQ stingray. We walked back to the apartment from Newtons Circus, about 2.5km at 10pm at night and it was 25C. On the way we waited out the front of a 20 level apartment bocked trying to get a photo of someone driving home. This apartment block on each side of the building has a car lift and it takes you up to your floor which has a 2 car garage next to it. I'll try and get a photo in daylight cause iphone wasn't going to cut it.

Well we made it to Singapore safely. The flight was actually quite pleasant and the scenery across central Australia quite spectacular. The photos don't do it justice.
This one is a salt lake not far from Uluru (Ayers Rock).
Well we landed in Singapore got through the airport in about 15 mins which was great. We met up with our friend and walked out of the airport. We had gone from a sunny Melbourne, 14C to Singapore 30C and 80% humidity, I love it. Anyway we went back to our friends apartment and had Tea but because of the 3 hour time difference and my flying happy pills I basically hit the sack.

Travel Itinerary
Well it's almost time, tomorrow we head off to Singapore to catch the Ocean Princess on Good Friday. She's currently sailing to Vietnam. This is a good link to follow the ship;

Unfortunately Karen and I are struggling to organise the packing. We really do need to reduce how much were taking.
Everything is booked and I've made one mistake so far. I've got the wrong Visa for Colombo. So until Sri Lanka Govt cancel my Visa I will not be getting off at Colombo with Karen.
Tonight we're booked into a hotel close to the airport and were heading back to the city to party with friends.
When we arrive in Singapore we are being picked up by a friend and we are staying at there place for 4 days. They live around the corner from Orchard Rd, which in Melbourne is like the Bourke St mall, but 10 times bigger.
Below is our itinerary for the cruise. After we disembark we fly to Johannesburg, then to Victoria Falls for 3 days. We drive across Zimbabwe to Botswana, Chobe National Safari Park for a few days, then back to Johannesburg for a couple of days before we fly back to Australia.
Back to the packing, bugger!!
