OK I am all recovered and relaxed. Our friends place is fantastic it's a 4 bedroom apartment on the 15 floor and luckily they actually have a view. Their lift is like a private lift in that when they get to their floor it opens at his front door and his is the only apartment that lift services on that floor. They also have their own live in maid, which is a first for us.
We spent our first day in Singapore walking, walking, walking and more walking. This is our 4th time in Singapore and we have never been down to the Arab quarter so we decided to walk there. We have read that you walk down a mall surrounded by Arab shops with Singapore's largest and very beautiful Sultans Mosque. I was lucky enough to get a great photo of the mosque.
Well worth the 2 hour walk trying to find it.
Anyway the day was not a complete loss, I was impressed by a bit of graffiti just around the corner from the mosque.
After that much to Karen's disgust the rest of the day was dedicated to shopping. After the shopping we went back to the apartment and dropped all our gear off and headed to Newtons Circus for tea where I had 2 Tiger prawns, their a foot long each and Karen had BBQ stingray. We walked back to the apartment from Newtons Circus, about 2.5km at 10pm at night and it was 25C. On the way we waited out the front of a 20 level apartment bocked trying to get a photo of someone driving home. This apartment block on each side of the building has a car lift and it takes you up to your floor which has a 2 car garage next to it. I'll try and get a photo in daylight cause iphone wasn't going to cut it.
I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of that garage.
ReplyDeleteLooks Good. Was Christo at the mosque before you? Looks like he made another artpiece out of a building by wrapping it up;-)
ReplyDeleteWhen do you board the ship?
